Building for today to ensure Catholic Education tomorrow.
A Masterpiece can be a priceless piece of art, a person, place, building, concept, idea or feeling. A new St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School on our Sutherland Avenue site will indeed be a masterpiece
A place where parents are proud to send their children; where teachers instruct in inspired surroundings; where children learn not just academics, but how to be good citizens; and where an overall sense of community, well-being, inclusion and excellence abound.
Now & Then
St. Joseph’s started in 1939 with a single kindergarten class watched over by the Sisters of Charity. The goal was simple: A faith-based Catholic education with a holistic approach.
A lot has changed in the world in the past seven-and-a-half decades, but St. Joe’s approach for developing the whole student hasn’t. Connecting us to this first class are tens of thousands of cherished and inspired individuals. Today, more than 240 students from kindergarten through Grade 7 call St. Joseph’s home during their formative years. St. Joseph’s expects to welcome many more families in anticipation of the new school. In fact, waiting lists could become the new norm in the future for our unique, accessible brand of education.
The St. Joseph Project is moving ahead. Money is being raised and shovels will soon be in the ground. There is a lot happening and much information to be shared: stay tuned for Masterpiece events, stories and building progress and general updates.
